An explanation of what the rarity index is:

The rarity index is an indication of the rarity of a model in relation to a benchmark figure of 10,000. This figure represents an assumed production run for a non-limited model. This means that all non-limited models will have a Rarity Index of 1.00, whereas a model with a production run of 1000 will have an Index of 10.00. (i.e. 10,000 / 1,000).

However, the actual production number is likely to be different for each non-limited model and could even be less than that of a limited edition. Therefore The rarity index on non-limited models will change once the actual production run can be determined.

One model, the Mosquito AA32802 had an original limited production run of 5,900 and an Index of 1.69. However, as most of the run is claimed to be destroyed and only about 500 models, possibly less, survive, the Index is now 20.00.

The Rarity Index is not a price guide either; it is purely a numerical guide based on the original production run.
